Lessons in lower classes are held in Serbian language. In the first grade we learn Cyrillic letters while Hungarian letters in the second grade. In the third grade in Serbian we study Latin and we have English classes as well. Next to Serbian and Hungarian class in fourth grade we learn English alphabet. In our history lessons students pay special attention to Serbian culture and tradition, in that way we celebrate both, Serbian and Hungarian holidays. On Saturday’s workdays students are taken to museums, theaters and occasionally are organized theme days. In winter season P.E. classes include ice-skating and in spring season they are taken to swimming-pools.

Our goal concerning sport and recreation sessions
Our goal concerning sport and recreation sessions is to gather students and provide them with ideas for healthy life and good physical development. There are many kinds of sports competitions: football, basketball, table tennis and chess.
Our goal is to analyze and awoke bigger knowledge fulfilling the pupil’s intellectual curiosity as well as supporting their active participating in studying and researching.
Our talented students participate in state-level competition, festivals and other manifestations as well...

Primary (elementary) school in Lórév
In elementary school in Lórév, which is branch establishment of Serbian preschool, primary school, high school and students home "Nikola Tesla", classes are held in Serbian language. The school has four lower grades, and students are combined in a group of 1-4. class. Our school is responsible for the preservation and improvement of the mother tongue, learning the Hungarian language and literature and ethnic culture, starting from the local conditions (Chapel Island, shores of the Danube), and for the preservation and protection of nature and environment.
We attach great importance to the preservation of Serbian tradition and culture, maintain and Serbian celebrate the holidays, we have classes Serbian národopis, afternoon programs under which nurture and learn Serbian folk songs, children's games, folk art, which at the end of the school year parents present.

The first grade begins with education in Serbian language, students learn the Cyrillic alphabet. Initial difficulties with learning are not present, since students come with adequate knowledge of Serbian language from preschool (Serbian and Hungarian children). In the second grade they start to learn Hungarian alphabet, and from the second half of schoolyear the Hungarian grammar.
Students only after the second grade can continue their education in the Hungarian educational institution. In third grade in classes of Serbian language students learn Serbian Latin, and in addition two hours per week they learn English. In the fourth grade students learn how to adopt terms, terms in both languages. After the completion of fourth grade, students can continue their education in Serbian and in Hungarian school.
Educational work is performed by two qualified teachers. Orthodox religious instruction performs local priest, while the Catholic catechism is conducted by religious teacher from the elementary school in St. Imre from Serbian Kovin. Although our school is small it is filled with the loving family atmosphere.
We try to make progress in education, teaching plan is introduced slowly and in detail, so that children do not lose their enthusiasm for learning. One of the advantages of the consolidated group is that students hear the material several times. Volume of learning material increases gradually and flexibly adapts to the current development level of the child. It also supports the so-called, merged, consolidated group. In our educational work we strive to reach more optimal development for each student individually. Our goal is that our students start their 5th grade as a balanced, harmonious personalities.
